The iPhone is good for BMX

Cameron from Hidden Clothing sent over this rad email about how he’s use the iPhone app, Evernote, to build an amazing spot database. Check out a full rundown with photos and screenshots after the jump!
I just wanted to share this because I’m super psyched on it. You may already know about Evernote and it may be old news but I just discovered it, and since I can’t ride for a while because of a broken foot, I’m forced to find new things to keep myself busy and somewhat productive.

I’ve begun using Evernote as a database for all of my riding spots. What makes it awesome is that you can add new stuff from your iPhone or the computer and everything syncs up wirelessly. I love it.

I add every spot as an individual note, add a photo, and tag it with lots of info. I just add whether or not it’s skateable so I can just search the spots that are when I’m with friends who skate. I tag it with ledges or rails so if I’m in the mood to ride a certain thing in a certain city.

Also, you can share all of your notes with other Evernote users. So if you have friends from a different state or something, you can send them all of your spots and share like that.

I also add a Google Maps link to each note so I can get immediate, exact directions to the spot.
